Soup of Possibilities!

That's my fancy name for my the early layers of paint in my process! They contain marks and textures, words and symbols...all with intention and emotion! The feelings behind these are purposeful, but I try to allow the

elements to play and interact without controlling too much. It can be exhilarating and intimidating too. It's fun to "read" the canvas at these stages. From moment to moment and as I rotate them, and see them at different times of day and light, the story of what I perceive changes.
